Massive Port Closings – US Media Silent

May 1, 2008
A major effort by business interests is taking place today, across 29 port cities on the west coast, in an effort to protest current US military activities.  See article links below.

Two considerations come to mind:
1)  When the business community gets involved to this extent,  resistance has reached a new level.
2)  Why has this not been covered by mainstream news?  How can we  more effectively connect with stories like this?

Jesus Sign Torn Up, Crowd Cheers

April 28, 2008

4/26/08:  Raleigh NC hosted a military parade to honor the troops.  The  ~20 protesters offering a different perspective – mostly Veterans for Peace,  received little or no coverage in the news.   One peaceful protester encountered harrassment and attacks in front of police, Raleigh dignitaries, and the general parade audience,  including a young boy who swiped a sign saying “jesus said: love your enemies”  while the crowd roared with amusement and approval.

Below find a few photos of the incident.   For the full 9 minute video, please visit:  http://revver.com/video/849305/kid-rips-jesus-sign-at-military-parade/
